Welcome poets! Here's the place to post your own poems and poems you love as well as poetry links, events, and about poetry books—and to appreciate one another's work. See you in class this quarter… and see you here!
Thanks Aaron, it's wonderful. He's really, really good. And it is an inspiring piece. I've had this feeling more than once, for example when my oldest son underwent multiple surgeries as a baby/ toddler at Stanford. It's profound — you walk into so many places in life feeling scared, sorry for yourself — but walk out feeling larger and more compassionate toward others—when you observe and understand what others are dealing with. It's also a lovely poem about courage. Also like his motifs and internal rhyme. Any other favorites of his?—kw
